It is my honour to lead this association of NSW for the fourth term as president. It is important that we have continuation to take this association forward in the years to come, especially when the association has been in existence for 49 years since 1973. The Sri Lanka Association of NSW is a association for all Sri Lankans irrespective of their ethnicity, religion or social standing within the framework of a united and democratic Sri Lanka and serving the community in NSW and ACT in Australia. Given the history of this association it would have been very sad if we had to wind up this association at any stage. Please feel free to write articles to our newsletter “Thorathuru” if you have any important photos or articles to be published in our newsletter. We are looking forward in seen you at all our functions and celebrations in the coming years and we appreciate the support that you give us. I would like to request all of you to join our organisation in organising a memorable event and participating in our 50 th year celebrations.
