SLA proud to initiate the Sri Lanka Flag raising ceremony in coinciding with Sri Lanka Independence Day. This is a historical collaboration of SLA with Blacktown City Council. The inaugural event took place on 7 February 2020. Due to Covid pandemic, the 2021 event had be postponed. However, we collaborated with number of community organisations to commemorate our 73rd Independence Day in style at Don Moore Community Centre on 6 February 2021.
